Capers Island Beer, Boil, And Bluegrass Cleanup Excursion

  • IOP Marina 50 41st Avenue Isle of Palms, SC, 29451 United States (map)

Join Pawleys Island Brewing, The South Carolina Aquarium, and Barrier Island EcoTours for this collaborative Charleston Beer Week event! Cast off with us from the Isle of Palms Marina. As we glide through the intracoastal waterway, learn from an expert naturalist about the saltmarsh and barrier island ecosystems on the way to Capers Island State Heritage Preserve. Once we arrive, we’ll spend an hour caring for this island by conducting a litter cleanup before the festivities begin. After the litter cleanup, we will enjoy live acoustic bluegrass music from The DamRites, Pawleys Island Brewing craft beer (or water and tea) and stroll through the "boneyard beach" before chowing down on a Lowcountry boil! We will end the evening immersed in the sights and sounds of the saltmarsh as we cruise back to the Isle of Palms Marina during sunset.

Please note: This event is open to ages 12+ and space is limited. Wear long pants and closed-toed shoes or boots that can get muddy for the litter sweep and bring a clean pair to change into after. You may bring outside food and drink in a small cooler.
