On the opening day of Charleston Beer Week, Low Tide Brewing is throwing a farm party that will will encapsulate the spirit of Johns Island. The center piece for the event will be a goat race featuring “kid” goats from Burden Creek Dairy Goat Farm. During the event we will have other farm party activities and decorations. The event will be free to attend, pay as you go with prizes and other specials occurring throughout the evening. The party is 5-9 with the races starting at 7. Burden Creek farm will be onsite selling their cheese and milk products as well as hosting a “petting zoo” before and after the race where you can feed the goats for a donation.
Three heads up heats with one final heat featuring the 3 preliminary winners. Goats will be associated with a beer available on tap, the winning beer will be featured with pricing specials after the races.
Proceeds from the event will go towards a new project Low Tide is launching in the spring where we are partnering with Brownwood Nursery to plant azaleas all across the Island.
