Join the team at Edmund's Oast Exchange for a true educational experience as they provide you with a tasting and comparative pairing between sour/funky beers (led by Brandon Plyler, Advanced Cicerone®) AND natural wines (led by Sarah O’Kelley, Certified Sommelier).
There are significant parallels between funky beers and natural wines. Wild fermentations and minimal use of sulfur dioxide (in the wine world) bring out aromas and flavors that can be left of center and tantalizing to all of those who love a bit of funk in their beverage. At this event you will explore the parallels that exist between the beer and wine worlds. Tastings are free with a $5 donation to Edmund’s Oast Exchange’s community partner, Charleston Promise Neighborhood. Full pours can be purchased for $6 and half pours for $3.
